Frequently Asked Questions

Delivery time is between 5 days and 3 weeks depending on where you live.

However, we always try to do our best to get your order to you as quick as possible. Being a young company, IKONO tries to constantly find the smartest and best solutions to make our print production and delivery as efficient as possible. To ensure we don’t print more images than necessary all images are printed on demand.

All prints are delivered by regular post. All prints are sent in protective cardboard wrapping, keeping the prints from getting damaged during shipping and transportation.

Currently, we only deliver to Scandinavia – if you live outside Scandinavia please sign up to our mailing list, and we’ll notify you as soon as we start shipping to your location.

All our images are printed with white edges. These edges serve as a great passepartout for those of you who aren’t interested in fixing passepartout yourselves. The white edge puts the focus on the image and makes it look great even without a frame. This makes it quick and easy to display the images!

For reference purposes, we state the size of the image in terms of both the actual size of the print and the size of the image on the print (without white edges).

The print sizes available from IKONO is:

  • Print size 30×40 cm (horizontal and vertical)
    • Image size: 20×30 and 20×25 cm
  • Print size 30×30 cm (Square)

IKONO delivers on-demand print. This means that we don’t have a stock of pre-made prints piled up somewhere, dusting away in a damp storage facility, but that we rather print the images on the customer’s request. This also means that we can’t accept returns. Provided that the print is in satisfactory condition, all sales from IKONO are in other words final.

IKONO prides itself with providing good quality prints printed on 300g paper. We quality check all our prints before sending them and pack them safely to survive the journey. If there has been a production error that has slipped through our quality control or something wrong has happened to the print during shipment, we would, therefore, appreciate it if you immediately make contact with our customer service and provide us with details and an image of the damaged goods so we can find a solution.

Shipments sent to destinations outside of Norway may be subject to additional import costs and may be checked and delayed by customs.

The rules for taxation of imported goods varies for each country. Some countries don’t tax imported goods under a certain value, while some do. Please check your country’s rules on the subject of taxation of goods before making a purchase.

As our prints are printed individually and on demand, the delivery time may vary somewhat depending on workload and timing. IKONO, however, prides itself with constantly trying to meet market demands and finding the smartest ways to produce and ship our products.

If your order hasn’t arrived, there may be a production or shipment delay. If you live outside Norway, packages may also get stuck in the receiving country’s customs control. Normally packages should arrive 1-2 weeks after shipping from us. Please wait a couple more days and get in touch with us by sending an e-mail to [email protected] if you print still haven’t arrived.

IKONO strives to give independent photographers an additional platform to showcase their work. The images selected for sale through IKONO are therefore selected by the photographers themselves, in collaboration with the IKONO team. The photographers, their vision and their creativity are vital to IKONO.

Our images are printed on high-quality 300-gram photo paper, printed by professionals with over 20 years in the business. The uncoated paper gives a matt look to the print and provides the image and paper with a rigid fine art feel. All our prints are quality check by both the printhouse and us personally, and it always looks great!

IKONO wants to make this marketplace as good as possible both for both the customers and for the photographers that sell their work. The reason for why we limit our print sizes to 30×40 cm and 30×30 cm, is that many photographers prefer to sell their larger formats in limited numbered prints for a price 10-20 times higher than what IKONO likes to offer.

We don’t want to take away this option from the photographers. By limiting our print size, you get the possibility to buy unique and high-quality photography prints at the same time as the photographers get to keep the option to sell limited fine art prints in larger and more expensive formats.

Sign up for our newsletter and we’ll let you know if we start selling larger prints!

If you wish to get in contact with the photographers, you will often find them in most social media channels where you can browse through more of their fantastic work. However, the photographers can’t help you with questions relating to IKONO. If you have any questions about your order, the images or anything else relating to IKONO, please get in touch through our contact forms.

However, if you find an image in the photographers social media profile that you really really want to get hold of, get in touch with us and we’ll try to get a hold of a copy!

The IKONO team are always on the lookout for talented photographers to make our unique selection of prints even better. We scout for photographers by searching through various channels such as Instagram, Facebook and photo galleries, and following up the vast amount of invaluable word-of-mouth information that the creative scene in Oslo constantly provides for the ones who are willing to listen.

If you want to make your work available here on IKONO – or have any recommendations on who we should sign-on – please get in touch with us by sending an e-mail to [email protected].
